The High School Work Study Program is designed for high school seniors who are employed in a paying position and are enrolled in this course offered through the Family and Consumer Science Department. This work experience program is designed for those students who:

  • want an exploratory experience in business/industry;
  • wish to learn about the working world and career possibilities;
  • want to earn money for themselves, their family or the future;
  • want to earn academic credit other than in the classroom.

The Work Study Program meets one day per week for related classroom instruction. The teacher conducts visits to the students work sites periodically. The students must have valid working papers and work a minimum of 10 hours per week. Students must complete time sheets, written projects/assignments and participate in classroom activities/discussions.

For more information, contact Mrs. Janice Marsiglio.
