June 25, 2012 - Summer is upon us, but it's important to stay in-the-know! Sign up for an SNN account, become a fan of our Facebook page and become a follower on Twitter.
More than 2,800 people have signed up for SNN, an opt-in e-mail and text message alert system where parents and community members can sign up to receive e-mail and/or text message alerts from the district. Users can choose from several alerts and can unsubscribe at any time.
If you have an SNN account and want to update the alerts you are currently subscribed to, simply sign into your account using your username and password, select which alerts you would like to receive, and then click “Update Profile.” It’s important to make sure your SNN alerts are updated for 2012-13, especially if your child will enter a new school in the fall.
If you haven't signed up yet, do so now! It’s easy to sign up. Visit the SNN page or click the SNN icon located under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the district home page. Follow the directions to create your profile and choose which alerts you would like to receive.
There are alerts for each school building, senior class news, district news and school closings and delays. You can also enter your cell phone number to receive text messages in time-sensitive situations, such as weather-related school closings.
The Goshen Central School District launched its Facebook page in August 2010 and has approximately 850 fans.
