Goshen
Central School District
Summer School Program 2008
(Back)
This year, the
Goshen High School will offer a limited “in-house”
summer school. The program is for Goshen Central
School District students who have failed a course
during the regular school year.
For a student to be
eligible for a summer school course, all major
assignments must be completed for that course during
the regular school year. To be eligible for a
science Regents exam, the lab requirement must have
been met during the regular school year. Due to
budget constraints, course offerings and scope of
the program will be limited.
A maximum of 20 students per course will be
accommodated. Students will be registered in the
order that they arrive at registration. The
possibility exists that classes will fill and some
students will not be able to attend. Courses with
fewer than five students may not be offered.
Priority will be given to students who are scheduled
to graduate in August 2008.
Goshen High School will also be a Regents testing
site in August. Students who are retaking a Regents
to improve a passing grade must register for that
exam. Students who have passed a course and are
retaking a Regents for a passing grade must register
for the exam and attend Regents review classes at
the high school or must complete 10 hours of review
with an approved private tutor.
Summer school and Regents review sessions are
provided by the Goshen Central School District and
are free of charge.
Both parent and student should be present at
registration.
